Review: Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream
It’s weird that I’ve been using the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream for three months now and I’ve yet to write a review about it. I decided to use BB cream after I’ve seen significant improvement on my skin a couple of months ago. I wanted to wear something light and nourishing, one that offers great coverage and have high SPF level.
While shopping for a great BB cream, I was initially sold on the Missha Cho Bo Yang BB Cream because it fit the bill, and is fortified with Korean ginseng. However, I tested it two separate times and the results were the same: it totally broke me out! It was just too damn bad because I loved the coverage and despite what others say, the herbal smell is lovely too. I wanted to love this and was more than ready to commit on the bigger bottle but alas, the formula does not agree with my skin.
So, I went for the next best thing, the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in 21. Now first things first, I got the wrong color. 21 was too gray and too light for my skintone. Letting it sit helps as far as the tone matching my skin but the grayness won’t go away entirely. The good news, I got the smaller, travel sized bottle because I wanted to see if the formula will suit my skin (it did!). The Perfect Cover BB cream is super light though and dries down to a soft matte finish which I love.
The coverage leaves a lot to be desired but overall, it’s better than most BB creams out there. It’s like a thinner version of a regular foundation, with sheer coverage. This means it’s best for people blessed with already nice skin. Otherwise, you might need to use a concealer to erase any blemishes, like I do.
To be perfectly honest, the Perfect Cover BB cream is a great product and I am all set to buy the bigger bottle. It’s not cheap at around PhP 1,600++ but it’s definitely worth the investment. Hey, it’s a skin care and makeup in one, you can’t go wrong with this one!
